The Port of Houston Authority stated that it is on track to set a new all-time high in TEUs.

The port expects to cross the 2 million TEU threshold this year, mainly thanks to a 14% increase in its container cargo levels.

Earlier this month, the facility set a new single day record for gate moves at their container terminals.

The tariffs at the port are to remain the same in 2016. Improvements are coming to Wharf 2, the electric cranes and the Houston Ship Channel.

Snowbird season has started!

Port of Barcelona is investing LNG

Port of Barcelona is about to embed using of liquefied natural gas (LNG) instead of diesel fuel and heavy fuel oil. The plan with implementing natural gas as the main marine fuel was launched after announcement of Environmental Organizations in October, 2014 about high level of air pollution in the Mediterranean shipping hub. It is scheduled to update all infrastructure like terminal machinery and storage of vessels while in the port.
Infrastructure is planning to be built within next two years and LNG as main fuel will be used by 2030.
