ACL will launch more vessels

Dear clients, you might already know, that ACL line operates almost all vehicle deliveries to West Africa. Great news, it launches the first of 5 improved vessels on the route, all owed by Grimaldi Group. The first vessel will be Atlantic Star, and it's scheduled to appear at Gothenburg port in December, 20th.

Its sister ships will be Atlantic Sail, Atlantic Sea, Atlantic Sky and Atlantic Sun.

These new G4 vessels are going to be bigger, faster, more environmentally friendly and more efficient in comparison with nowadays Grimaldi ships. They will combine roro and containers with the capacity to carry 1,307 cars roro and 3,800 TEUs container space.

Each 2 months a new vessel will be launched until the whole fleet is replaced.

Port of Saint John, New Brunswick has announced a newly-signed collective labor deal. The agreement includes salary increases and more training opportunities at the Canadian port.

This will pave the way for a modernization project set to transform the port's container infrastructure. The project is planned to take 7 years to complete at a cost of CAD 205 million. The funds will be provided by the Federal and Provincial governments, as well as the port.

Improvements will help the port handle larger vessels by deepening the main channel from 8.4 to 10 meters and adding new systems and technology.
