New LNG Facility in British ColumbiaNew LNG Facility in British Columbia The government of British Columbia is set to open an LNG facility on Lelu Island. The government’s partner in the project is a group of companies led by Petronas of Malaysia. The project is known as Pacific NorthWest LNG and is estimated to be worth 36 billion USD. BC Premier Christy Clark and Michael Culbert, president of Pacific NorthWest LNG, signed a memorandum of understanding that sets out the next steps in the ratification process. Natural gas will be produced by Progress Energy Canada Ltd and transported to Lelu Island, where the Pacific NorthWest LNG will liquefy and export it. The government has secured agreements with 14 of the 19 First Nations along the proposed Prince Rupert Gas Transmission Pipeline route. 2015-05-20

Container shipment capacityThe Georgia Ports Authorities reported that Port of Savannah has increased container shipment capacity by 25.8 % in April. Savannah Port also says that traffic of RORO units has grown by the same period at Savannah and Brunswick Terminals. Taking into consideration numbers mentioned before, GPA (Georgia Ports Authorities) authorized $ 33.4 mln for improving port's infrastructure (such as paving, cranes, rail capacity and so on). And by this time, around $ 3 mln will be paid for expanding property development at Savannah's Ocean terminal. 2015-05-18
