More Orders for Hyundai  

Shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries Group has received six new orders. 

Eastern Pacific Shipping, China Construction Bank and Kyklades Maritime have ordered 2 vessels each. Among them are 2 LPG carriers, 2  very large gas carriers and 2 very large crude carriers.

Previously, the South Korean company has reported a total of 29 orders so far in 2018, totaling USD 2 billion.

Mitsui Delivers Bulker to Ostria

Japanese shipbuilder Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding (MES) has delivered a 66,000 dwt bulk carrier to its owner Ostria Marine Co.

The vessel Christina is 200 meters long with a breadth of 36 meters. It is the sixteenth ship in Mitsui's Neo66BC series of eco-ships.

MES recently made an alliance with Tsuneishi Shipbuilding which will see the companies collaborate on the design and construction of merchant ships. The goal is to generate more orders, achieve higher cost competitiveness, and jointly operate Tsuineishi’s overseas shipyards.
