Price Information: How to Read It?

There are over 250 000 clean and salvage title vehicles available for sale on our website every day. You can buy a car either for a fixed price or via auctions.

If you see the "Buy Now" option in a vehicle’s profile, it means that the car can be purchased right away from the catalog for a fixed price, without auctions. With BuyNow option, you can simply calculate 10% from the fixed price, - but not less than $400, - credit your AuctionExport Profile with an initial deposit and get the car reserved.

If there is no price, just “Current Bid” in a car’s profile, the car will be sold at the auctions. It is not possible to predict the last price until the bidding is finished. In such case, you can only check similar vehicles price statistic results from previous auctions to learn potential rates.

GSF and ESC voice concerns over consolidation trends

GSF and ESC voice concerns over consolidation trends

The European Shippers’ Council and the Global Shippers’ Forum have come forward with proposed measures which would protect their members’ interests amid big changes taking place in the container shipping industry.

The shippers are worried that the consolidation of the shipping market into a small number of large alliances will reduce their carrier options and service quality.

The Global Shippers’ Forum urges the competition authorities to make sure there is healthy competition on key routes. The creation of alliances has resulted in high barriers for potential entrants and made it very difficult for independent lines to compete on many routs. GSF is also asking for effective antitrust monitoring.

Bob Ballantyne, GSF Chairman, said: “I am delighted that ESC has joined GSF in order to promote and defend shippers’ interests at a global level. GSF has made the voice of shippers heard in the UN agencies responsible for the regulation of the maritime sector and supported many of its member associations in advancing more transparent regulation of the container shipping industry in their home markets.”
