Nicaragua Grand Canal Project has got green light

The infrastructure required lots of local changes, however it was given an environmental permission.The Government of Nicaragua was considering this question for 6 months and finally decided that this step will have much more positive impact on the country and economy, then negative on the environment.

The Port of Houston Authority stated that it is on track to set a new all-time high in TEUs.

The port expects to cross the 2 million TEU threshold this year, mainly thanks to a 14% increase in its container cargo levels.

Earlier this month, the facility set a new single day record for gate moves at their container terminals.

The tariffs at the port are to remain the same in 2016. Improvements are coming to Wharf 2, the electric cranes and the Houston Ship Channel.
