The Port of Tallinn has signed a deal with local energy group Eesti Energia to use only renewable energy produced in Estonia.

In 2021, Eesti Energia will supply Port of Tallinn with 10 GWh of green electricity, which will reduce CO2 emission by 7,000 tons.

Port representative Ellen Kaasik stated: "Energy efficiency and greater use of renewable energy sources are an important step in reducing the port’s ecological footprint and achieving climate neutrality.”
