Profit Boost for Scorpio Bulkers 
Monaco's Scorpio Bulkers has ended Q2 2019 with an increased net income.

Their net income rose from USD 0.8 million in Q2 2018 to USD 35 million in Q2 2019, mainly due to their investment in Scorpio Tankers. A write-off of deferred financing costs also contributed to the income rise.

Scorpio Bulkers’ time charter equivalent (TCE) revenues decreased by USD 11.7 million year-over-year, owing to a coal import reduction in Europe and China and the US-China trade war.

The shipper has begun preparing its fleet for the drydock and scrubber fitting program starting in Q3 2019.

Cruise line AIDA Cruises has added Bremerhaven to its German cruise port calls.

The cruise ship AIDAcara has made a maiden call in Bremerhaven, expanding the list which also includes Hamburg, Kiel and Warnemünde.

In July and August, AIDAcara will use Bremerhaven as a starting point on a three-week trip to Iceland and Greenland, before departing for the Mediterranean in September. The ship will spend the winter at the Canary Islands and the Azores.

Next summer, AIDAcara is scheduled to visit Bremerhaven four times between July and August.
