Ocean Network Express’ (ONE) magenta-color containership has made its first call at the Port of Hamburg.

Ocean Network Express (ONE) is a Singapore-based global container shipping company that commenced operations on April 1, 2018. ONE merges the container activities of Japanese shipowners Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha  (‘K’ Line), Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL), and Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK).

The ONE Continuity reached Hamburg on Friday, October 26, and was handled at HHLA’s Container Terminal Altenwerder.

With a length of more than 300 meters and a width of more than 45 meters,102 TEU boxship was previously known as MOL Continuity. Now, the rose-colored containership is deployed on ONE’s Far East-Europe 1 liner service, linking Hamburg weekly with the Japanese ports of Kobe, Nagoya, Shimizu and Tokyo and served on a weekly basis ports in Singapore, Jeddah and in Europe, apart from Hamburg: Southampton, Le Havre and Rotterdam.

Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri has posted higher revenue for the nine months ended September 30, 2018.

Their revenue saw an increase of 8.5% compared to the same period of the previous year, while their total backlog reached a record level of EUR 32.5 billion, with 104 ships in the order book. Strong performance of the shipbuilding business contributed to the good result.

According to CEO Giuseppe Bono, “[r]evenue growth in the coming years will be ensured by a workload that ... has no equal in the country’s industrial landscape. Indeed, our total backlog stands at EUR 32 billion, with scheduled deliveries stretching to 2027.”

Recently it's been announced about construction of new BC Works Terminal A in Kitimat, British Columbia. The contract for expansion was signed between LNG Canada and BAM International and assumes the project consisting of 320 meters long terminal and new berth. Those will be built on water using over 400 steel piles and planned to be completed in autumn 2020. The whole project was estimated $108 million. It will handle 14 million tons of cargo annually with further expected increase in future. LNG Canada is an important investor for state infrastructure and makes constant contribution to achieve government green strategy.
