GasLog Posts Higher Earnings

Owner and operator of LNG carriers GasLog has reported record earnings in the quarter ended September 30.

The company's revenues for Q3 rose from USD 131.2 million to USD 158.4 million and the profit rose from USD 24.2 million to USD 39.3 million.

The increase was manly due to higher LNG demand and rising LNG shipping spot rates within the Cool Pool. "The LNG shipping market tightened considerably in the third quarter, driving headline spot rates to multi-year highs and delivering a record result for our ships operating in the Cool Pool. This, together with the contribution of our three newbuild vessels delivered earlier in 2018, produced another set of record quarterly results for GasLog,” Paul Wogan, Chief Executive Officer, said.
