About Ford Crown Victoria

Crown Victoria or Crown Vic was a rear wheel drive sedan car made and marketed by Ford. It was in production from 1992 to 2012 with changes over two generations. The car was based on the Ford Panther platform while its suspension and power train were common with Lincoln Town Car and the Mercury Grand Marquis. It was highly popular as a taxi courtesy the durability that was associated with it. Most of the police cars in the period from 1992 to 2012 were also Crown Victoria.
